VITA's Desktop Services are differentiated according to the type of equipment you order. The information below will help you work through the differences in these services.

Full Service

This desktop service includes the cost of equipment purchase, equipment installation, equipment maintenance, equipment surplus, software licensing, software license renewal, software patches, upgrades, network fee, direct labor and indirect expenses such as security, help desk, and administration. Software includes: Microsoft Operating System, Office Pro Plus (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Publisher, Infopath), Adobe Reader, McAfee, OS file compression. Pricing includes both the asset fee and network fee.

Tablets

Currently, VITA has one rate for laptops, which is the same rate for tablets. Agencies that request tablets will not be charged a different rate today, but may be at a later date as dictated by cost differences.
